Klarhan and I have been very close friends for 8 years. Klarhan comes from an ethnic Karen group that endured unspeakable hardships in their home-country, a country they still call Burma, not Myanmar.
Klarhan is the head elephant mahout at Elephants World in Thailand, and a very close friend. I want to paint his portrait so today made a quick oil painting study with the help of my daugher, Emilie.
