A tour around our art and music studio in photos with narration.

Posted on Aug 23, 2021

This photo-video is one of our 6-year-old daughter Emilie’s homeschool projects for August 2021. Emilie’s idea was, as we are in Lockdown in Bangkok and cannot travel due to virus restrictions, we make videos around our home instead. In this video, Emilie invites you to take a tour around our art and music studio in photos with narration.

For those that asked to see how we attach our video camera to the ceiling for overhead piano keyboard videos, this video shows the system at 09:35.

Making Our Home Art and Music Studio Bigger

Posted on Jul 14, 2021

Hello,

It’s Emilie sending you this message with the help of my dad. Here in Thailand 2021, the virus is pretty scary in Bangkok especially around our area with still no vaccines available to us. We’ve been staying at home a lot, more than usual. At the time of making this video, Bangkok is in Lockdown again.

Here’s the story in photos of dad’s project to make our family home-studio bigger so I would have more space for homeschooling, playing and sports in Lockdown.

As it wasn’t possible to find a builder available during this difficult time, dad did most of the cement, woodwork and decorating himself. Dad got help from our friend Chin, who would pass by in the late evening after his work was over. Mum ordered all the building materials as we went along.

This photo-video tells the story of how we built our home-art-music studio in Thailand in 2006 using recycled wood from old demolished houses. Our principle aim was to conserve energy by using natural air circulation to cool our home instead or air conditioning.
